גם השנה דברצן נבחרה לאוניברסיטה הטובה ביותר בהונגריה ולמען הסר ספק האוניברסיטה אישרה שבהחלט בדברצן גם בית הספר לרפואה נכלל בהודעה.
הדירוג הוא רשמי ובית הספר לרפואה דורג כטוב ביותר ובראש הרשימה בהונגריה.

Three Hungarian higher education institutions, including the University of Debrecen, have been classified as universities "of national excellence.”

The government resolution about the titles was published in the 7th February issue of the Magyar Közlöny (‘Hungarian Bulletin’).
On the basis of the government resolution the title was awarded to the three most outstanding higher educational institutions, the University of Debrecen, Eötvös Loránd University and the University of Szeged, which are the greatest also in terms of numbers.
‘The awarding of this title of distinction to the three aforementioned universities is actually an indication that they are Hungary’s most significant higher education institutions. I think that earning this recognition is the continuation of the process to which all members of the university contributed with their work. Our current and prospective students can be sure that they will be pursuing their studies in a stable, well functioning institution, with considerable professional values" Rector István Fábián said.
On the grounds of the government resolution of 5th February, the ‘university of national excellence’ classification can be awarded to higher education institutions which have considerable educational and research capacities as well as outstanding scientific results in more than one discipline, enabling them to contribute significantly to the attainment of national strategic objectives. Further criteria included the potential to make a great leap forward in international higher educational rankings and a notable participation in international student mobility programmes. Based on these criteria no more than three higher education institution can hold the title simultaneously.
On the basis of the government resolution, signed by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the University of Debrecen, Eötvös Loránd University and the University of Szeged are the proud holders of the prestigious 201‘University of National Excellence’ title between 3 and 2016.
